The beach takes its name from Tsambika Monastery, located on the nearby hill, a sacred 15th-century site dedicated to Our Lady of Tsambika, patroness of fertility. It is a pilgrimage site and a cultural symbol of Rhodes. Climb up to the monastery for stunning panoramic views.

The best time is from May to October, with warm waters ideal for swimming; go early in the morning (8-11 a.m.) to avoid crowds and enjoy the gentle sun. Avoid midday in July and August because of the intense heat.

Just 1 km uphill is Tsambika Monastery, with spectacular views; 10 km to the south are Lindos Beach and its acropolis. Also nearby is the village of Tsambika with typical taverns. Perfect for a combined day trip.
