Playa Hinitsa, situada en Porto Heli en el Peloponeso griego, destaca por sus aguas cristalinas y su entorno natural sereno. Rodeada de pinos y colinas, ofrece un refugio tranquilo para el viajero contemplativo.
As a public beach, access is open 24 hours a day, although sunbed services usually operate from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM in high season. It is located just 5 km from Porto Heli, and you can easily get there by car, taxi, or even by water taxi from the main port.
Access to the beach and swimming in the sea is completely free for all visitors. However, the use of sun loungers and umbrellas managed by the nearby hotel usually involves a rental fee or a minimum purchase at the bar.
To truly enjoy its crystal-clear waters and pine surroundings, we recommend setting aside at least half a day (around 4 hours). If you plan to eat at local taverns or practice water sports, it is a perfect destination for a full day.
The bay has direct views of the islet of Hinitsa, which historically served as a natural refuge for ships and coastal defense. In addition, the area is very close to the ancient submerged city of Halieis, which adds fascinating archaeological value to the region.
The months of June and September are ideal for enjoying perfect weather without the crowds of August. We suggest arriving early in the morning, before 10:00 AM, to find the best spot and see the sea at its calmest and clearest.
Access to the area near the beach is possible via paved paths close to the AKS Hinitsa Bay hotel. However, the final stretch across the sand may be difficult for wheelchairs without assistance or specific amphibious equipment.
From the beach itself, you can take a water taxi and cross in just a few minutes to the cosmopolitan island of Spetses. You are also very close to the center of Porto Heli and to the cultural experience offered by the Argolis region.
Do not forget to bring your snorkeling gear, as the clarity of the water allows you to see plenty of marine life near the shore. Also, although there is sand, we recommend bringing water shoes if you have sensitive feet, as there are areas with small pebbles at the entrance to the sea.
