Coral Island is accessible all day, but boat tours usually depart from the beaches of Nuweiba between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. There is no admission fee to the island, as it is a natural site, but you must pay for the boat from Nuweiba, which costs between 50 and 100 EGP per person (approx. 3–6 USD). It is recommended to spend 2–4 hours for snorkeling, swimming, and relaxing on the beach. Include time for the boat transfer, making it a perfect half-day outing without rushing.

Coral Island is part of the stunning Red Sea reefs in the Gulf of Aqaba, protected as a natural area since the 1990s because of its unique marine biodiversity. It is a paradise for divers and a living example of the ecological richness of the Egyptian Sinai.

The best time is from April to October for warm waters ideal for snorkeling, and early in the morning (8–11 AM) to avoid crowds and intense heat. Avoid winter if you are looking for the best diving conditions.

It is not fully accessible, as it requires a boat ride and walking on sand; there are no ramps or wheelchair facilities. People with moderate mobility may still enjoy it from the boat, but check with operators for adapted options.

Nearby you will find Nuweiba Beach with its palm trees, Color Reef for more diving, and Salah El Din Castle, a 30-minute drive away. Do not miss Dahab (1 hour south) for windsurfing; plan a combined day trip.
