¿Sabías que en el desierto egipcio hay un paraíso acuático que lanza a familias enteras al espacio? ¡Prepárate para reírte mientras te empapas!
The park is usually open every day from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although the slides often pause from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM for lunch. It is located in Madinat Makadi, about 30 km south of Hurghada, and you can easily get there by taxi or by the free shuttle buses if you are staying at Jaz hotels.
General admission for adults is around 30–40 euros and includes unlimited access to the 50 slides, as well as food and drinks (snacks, soft drinks, and ice cream). If you stay at the Jaz Makadi Aquaviva hotel, access is usually free and unlimited during your stay.
To get the most out of your visit, I recommend spending a full day there, or at least 5 to 6 hours. With 50 different attractions, you will want to ride the most extreme slides, such as the 'Kamikaze' or the 'Twister,' more than once.
Although it is not a historic site, its importance lies in being one of the largest water parks in all of Egypt and along the Red Sea coast. It is a massive feat of leisure engineering designed for family tourism, making it a modern landmark in the Hurghada area.
To avoid lines and get the best sun loungers, it is best to be at the gate right at 10:00 AM. As for the season, the spring months (March–May) and autumn (October–November) offer perfect weather without the stifling heat of the Egyptian summer.
The common areas, restaurants, and access to the wave pools are usually ground-level and paved. However, keep in mind that most slides require climbing quite a few stairs, so the attractions themselves are not fully suitable for wheelchairs.
Right next door you will find Mini Egypt Park, an open-air museum with scale models of Egypt's wonders. You can also take the opportunity to snorkel in the stunning Makadi Bay or visit downtown Hurghada in the evening.
The ground gets extremely hot under the Egyptian sun, so it is essential to wear water shoes or flip-flops that can get wet. Do not forget high-factor sunscreen (at least SPF 50), since you will be exposed all day, and drink plenty of water from the stands included with your ticket.
