Allow at least 1 hour for the Sacred Lake to explore it at a relaxed pace, but ideally 2 to 3 hours if combined with the nearby temple. This gives you time to appreciate its reliefs and surroundings without rushing.

The Sacred Lake was a ritual pool used by priests to purify the statues of the gods during processions at the Temple of Hathor, dating to the Ptolemaic-Roman period. It represents a key element in ancient Egyptian rites of spiritual renewal.

The best season is from October to April, avoiding the intense summer heat; go early in the morning (around 7:00 AM) for ideal light and fewer tourists. Avoid midday because of the high temperatures.
