The church is open Monday to Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (subject to change). We recommend checking the latest hours on the official website before visiting. Mass is usually celebrated at 7:00 p.m.
Entry is free, but voluntary donations are accepted for maintenance (suggested: 50–100 CZK). There is a fee to see the Treasury of the Infant Jesus exhibition and the museum (70 CZK for adults).
The main visit takes about 30–45 minutes. If you include the Infant Jesus exhibition, allow around 1 hour. It is compact but highly detailed, ideal for short visits.
It is famous for housing the Infant Jesus of Prague, a revered image since the 16th century that attracts pilgrims. It is also an important example of early Czech Baroque, with works by sculptor Ferdinand Brokoff.
Weekday mornings (Tuesday to Thursday) are the quietest. Avoid Sunday mornings during the main Mass (11:00 a.m.) and the hours after noon in high season (May to September).
It has partial accessibility: the main nave is accessible, but the chapel of the Infant Jesus requires climbing stairs. The Infant Jesus Museum is only accessible by stairs. Contact +420 257 533 646 for specific assistance.
Two minutes away is the Discalced Carmelites Monastery. In a 5-minute walk you can reach Prague Castle and the lively Malá Strana district with gardens and historic cafés.
Dress modestly (shoulders covered, avoid very short shorts). Do not take photographs during Mass. The chapel of the Infant Jesus has special veneration hours (1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.). Wear comfortable shoes for the surrounding cobblestones.
