The tower is open from May to September from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and from October to April from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, although it is advisable to check during the low season for possible changes. Admission for adults costs around €4 (30 kn), children and students €2 (15 kn), and it is free for children under 7. Payment is made at the ticket office at the base of the tower; cards are not accepted in some cases, so bring cash.

It is recommended to allow 30 to 45 minutes to explore the museum rooms and climb to the top for panoramic views of Kvarner Gulf. If you use an audio guide, it could extend to an hour, but it is a compact visit and ideal for mid-morning.

Built in 1547 by the Uskoks, Croatian warriors who fought against the Ottomans and Venetians, the tower served as a fortress and pirate refuge for centuries. Today it houses a museum about its history and that of Senj, highlighting its role in Adriatic resistance.

The best time is from June to September to enjoy the good weather and sea views, preferably early in the morning to avoid the heat and crowds. In winter it offers a quieter atmosphere, but with fewer daylight hours.

In Senj, visit the Senj City Museum a few minutes away on foot, St. Michael's Church, or Banja Beach for a swim. You can also explore the coastal path toward the Senj lighthouse, all within walking distance from the tower.
