Audio Guide of Biesanz Beach

Biesanz Beach is open to the public every day from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. To get there, you can take a taxi from Quepos or walk from Manuel Antonio (about 20 minutes). There are also tours that include transportation. I recommend arriving early to avoid crowds.

Access to Biesanz Beach is free, since it is not part of Manuel Antonio National Park. However, if you want to park nearby, some places charge a small fee (around $2-$5 USD).

Most visitors spend between 2 and 4 hours at the beach, enjoying the sea, snorkeling, and relaxing. If you plan to do activities such as kayaking or exploring the surroundings, you could stay for up to half a day.

Biesanz Beach is known for its peaceful atmosphere and crystal-clear waters, ideal for families and nature lovers. Although it does not have major historical significance, it is an important natural refuge for local biodiversity, with frequent sightings of monkeys and birds.

The best time to visit is during the dry season (December to April). The best time of day is in the morning, when the weather is cooler and there are fewer people. Avoid the afternoons if you do not like intense heat.

Access to the beach can be a bit challenging due to a trail with steps and slopes. However, there are nearby areas with better accessibility. I suggest contacting Visit Costa Rica for adapted options.

Near Biesanz Beach, you can visit Manuel Antonio National Park (10 minutes away), Espadilla Beach, or the Cathedral Point viewpoint. There are also restaurants with sea views, such as El Avión, an iconic place in the area.

Bring non-slip footwear for the trail, sunscreen, and water. If you want to snorkel, bring your gear or rent one at the beach. Do not forget to respect nature and not feed the animals. Enjoy the scenery and relax!
