An architectural and spiritual jewel atop a hill, guardian of Cali's history and traditions.
The church is open daily, generally from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, but hours may vary during Mass. We recommend checking the website of the Cali Tourism Department or calling +57 (2) 885 6174 to confirm before your visit.
Access to St. Anthony Church is free. However, during special events or religious festivities, such as Holy Week, voluntary donations may apply.
A visit inside the church takes about 20 to 30 minutes. If you also include the scenic overlook, San Antonio Park, and the colonial neighborhood, plan for 45 minutes to 1.5 hours.
Built in 1747, it is one of the oldest churches in Cali and an icon of colonial architecture. Its square tower and Moorish dome represent the region's religious heritage. The adjacent cemetery also holds fascinating stories.
Mornings, from 8:00 to 10:00 am, are ideal to avoid crowds and intense heat. From December to January, you can enjoy the festive atmosphere with lights and cultural events in the neighborhood.
The main entrance has steps and the pavement is uneven. The side overlook has a ramp with limited access. Contact the church by phone in advance for specific assistance.
On the same San Antonio hill: the Cali viewpoint, the Cat Park, and artisan workshops. A 15-minute walk away: Granada neighborhood with art galleries and La Tertulia Museum.
Modest clothing to enter the church, comfortable shoes for the cobblestone steps, and sunscreen. Bring cash if you want to buy local handicrafts. And do not underestimate the sunset from the viewpoint.
