A centuries-old religious monument that tells the story and faith of Honda, Tolima.

Admission is free. However, voluntary donations are accepted for the upkeep of this national historic monument, declared as such in 1994.
We recommend allowing 30 to 45 minutes to appreciate its colonial architecture, Baroque altarpieces, and the historic 19th-century German pipe organ.
It is one of Colombia’s best-preserved colonial treasures, built between 1606 and 1743. It was a key religious center during the viceregal period and survived several earthquakes, witnessing Honda’s development as a strategic river port.
From December to March, during the dry season, to enjoy the visit more comfortably. Weekday mornings are quieter, while Sundays have a festive atmosphere with the market in Market Square.

Wear comfortable shoes for the cobblestones, and bring water and sunscreen. On Fridays there are free guided visits organized by the Mayor’s Office at 10 am and 3 pm, with the meeting point in the main square.
