Because Plaza Mayor is cobblestoned, getting around can be a bit uneven for people using wheelchairs or strollers. While it is passable, there are no specific ramps within the square itself, as it is a traditional open public space. The sidewalks around the square may offer a smoother path, but for a more comfortable experience, patience and perhaps a companion are recommended. The cobblestones can be challenging.

Villa de Leyva is full of charm, and everything is close by! Just a few steps from Plaza Mayor, you can visit the Antonio Nariño House Museum, the El Carmen Colonial House Museum, and the Parish Church. You will also find numerous art galleries, craft shops, and excellent restaurants along the cobbled streets leading out from the square. Do not miss exploring each of those streets—there is always something new to discover!
