Access may be limited due to uneven ground and traditional stairways. If you need specific accessibility information, we suggest contacting the monastery directly or checking Travel China Guide.
Near Sera Monastery, you can visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street, all very popular with travelers. Drepung Monastery is also a short drive away.
Wear comfortable clothing and layers, as temperatures can change. Respect local rules: dress modestly, keep your voice down, and do not photograph the debates without permission. For more recommendations, visit Lonely Planet.
