Mirador natural en Pichilemu, Chile, coronado por una imponente cruz que ofrece vistas panorámicas del océano Pacífico y la costa surfista. Un lugar ideal para contemplar la unión entre tierra y mar.
La Cruz Hill is a public outdoor space, so it is open 24 hours a day, every day of the week. You can easily get there on foot or by car from downtown Pichilemu, heading north along the coast. There is no official website specifically for the hill, but you can find general information about Pichilemu on the VisitChile - Pichilemu page.
Good news! Visiting La Cruz Hill is completely free. There are no entrance or parking fees, making it an ideal and affordable way to enjoy the views of Pichilemu.
To fully enjoy the panoramic views, take some photos, and relax at the top, we recommend allowing between 30 minutes and 1 hour. If you feel like exploring a bit more of the surroundings, perhaps a little longer.
La Cruz Hill, besides being an elevated geographic point, is home to the large cross that gives it its name and serves as a visual landmark for residents and visitors. It is often used as a place for reflection and for observing the town and the ocean, representing an important landmark in the local landscape.
Sunset is, without a doubt, the best time of day to visit, with the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean and creating an incredible display of colors. As for the time of year, the spring and summer months (October to March) offer more pleasant weather and clearer skies. There is no specific phone number, but you can contact the Pichilemu tourist office for general information.
Unfortunately, access to the top of La Cruz Hill involves a steep path and does not have ramps or infrastructure specifically designed for people with reduced mobility. The views are spectacular from below, but the climb can be challenging. We recommend assessing the situation in person.
Pichilemu is full of charm! Near the hill, do not miss Punta de Lobos Beach, famous for surfing, Agustín Ross Edwards Park with its beautiful casino, and a walk along the Coastal Avenue. You can also enjoy local cuisine in the area's many restaurants.
I recommend wearing comfortable shoes for the path, bringing water to stay hydrated, and taking a light jacket, as it can be windy at the top. And of course, do not forget your camera to capture the stunning views! If you go at sunset, plan ahead so you can find a good spot.
