Audio Guide of the Vasil Levski Memorial

Between 30 and 60 minutes is usually enough. The complex includes the main monument, informative panels, and the adjacent house museum where Levski lived during his revolutionary activities.

Vasil Levski is Bulgaria’s most revered national hero. This memorial marks the place where he secretly organized resistance against the Ottoman Empire in 1872 before being captured and executed. His motto, 'Freedom or death,' symbolizes the struggle for independence.

Spring (April to June) or autumn (September to October) are ideal because of the mild weather and fewer tourists. Mornings are best to avoid summer heat or winter fog.
