Because of its mountainous terrain and wild landscapes, accessibility for people with reduced mobility is limited on most trails and main routes. However, visitor centers and some recreational areas at the park entrances may offer better accessibility. Karlovo is an excellent base. You can visit the Vasil Levski House Museum, dedicated to the Bulgarian national hero, or explore the nearby Rose Valley, especially in May to see the bloom. You will also find historic monasteries and picturesque villages within a short distance, offering a complete immersion in Bulgarian culture.
