Mole Beach is open 24 hours a day, but for safety it is best visited during daylight hours (approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.). The main access is via Estrada Geral do Rio Tavares (SC-406 highway), with nearby public transport stops. Parking is limited and usually costs between R$20 and R$40 per day. No, access to the beach is completely free. You only pay for additional services such as umbrella rental (about R$50 per day), sun loungers, or parking. Some nearby restaurants, such as the famous Thalis Bar, have a minimum spend.

Ideally, set aside 2 to 3 hours to relax and swim. If you plan to surf, eat at the beach bars, or hike to Galheta Beach, allow half a day. Many visitors end up staying longer because of its unique atmosphere!

It is an icon of Brazilian surfing, with consistent waves and international championships. Its landscape of green hills against golden sand is unique. It is also known for its youthful, diverse, and free-spirited atmosphere, with a nudist area toward the east.

From December to March (summer) for warm weather (28–35°C) and a lively atmosphere, although it is more crowded. April to May and September to October offer pleasant temperatures (22–28°C) with fewer people. For surfing, the best waves come in winter (June to August).

It has steep access paths with uneven stairs and soft sand, which makes wheelchair access difficult. There are no ramps or adapted facilities. As an alternative, Campeche Beach (15 minutes away) has better inclusive infrastructure.

Within less than 10 minutes: Conceição Lagoon (restaurants and boat rides), Joaquina Beach (surfing and dunes), and Morro da Lagoa viewpoint (hiking with views). About 20 minutes away is Downtown Florianópolis with the Museum of the Sun.
