Mirador natural espectacular en Fernando de Noronha, con un agujero en la roca volcánica que revela vistas impactantes del océano Atlántico y sus olas embravecidas.
Buraco da Raquel is a natural area with free access 24 hours a day, but the Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park is open from 08:00 to 18:00. To visit, you will need a Visitor Permit (available on the official website). It is reached by a trail near Cachorro Beach.
There is no specific fee to visit this site, but all visitors must pay the daily Environmental Preservation Fee (TPA) to access the archipelago. Updated rates are available on the government portal.
We recommend setting aside 1 to 2 hours to enjoy the scenery, take photographs, and relax in the natural pool. It is ideal to combine it with other nearby attractions such as Morro do Pico.
It is a unique geological formation created by marine erosion over thousands of years. Its name honors Raquel, a former resident who, according to legend, spent hours gazing at the sea from this rocky cavity.
Visit at low tide (check tide tables at Brazilian Navy) for greater safety and better access to the natural pool. The early morning hours offer fewer tourists and ideal light for photos.
It is not fully accessible. Access involves walking along uneven trails and rocks. There are nearby viewpoints with partial views that may be alternatives. It is recommended to check with ICMBio (+55 81 3619-1300) for specific options.
Less than 10 minutes away you will find: Cachorro Beach (a beach with natural pools), Fort of Our Lady of Remedies (an 18th-century fortress), and Vila dos Remédios (the historic center with shops and restaurants). More information is available on the tourism portal.
1) Non-slip footwear for wet rocks 2) Biodegradable sunscreen (mandatory on the island) 3) Bring water and snacks 4) Hire an authorized guide to learn geological details (check operators at Noronha Offshore).
