The park is open from Tuesday to Sunday: morning shift from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and afternoon shift from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is located at 2455 Almirante Barroso Avenue, Belém. There is a symbolic fee of R$ 5 (as of February 2024). People with disabilities and children up to 10 years old enter free. On Wednesdays, admission is free for everyone. Only cash is accepted on site. Prices may change with municipal authorization.

We recommend setting aside between 2.5 and 3 hours to explore its trails, lakes, and aviaries at a relaxed pace. The park covers 16 hectares with more than 2,000 botanical species and 300 animals.

It is a gem from 1895! Sanitary engineer Francisco Bolonha designed it to recreate the original Amazon before urbanization. It was declared Environmental Heritage of Belém in 2002 for preserving threatened ecosystems.

The dry season (July to December), when there is less rain. Go early (8:00-10:00 a.m.) or later in the afternoon (3:00-4:30 p.m.) to see active animals and avoid the heat. Avoid very crowded holidays.

Use insect repellent and sunscreen. Wear closed, comfortable shoes. Bring water (there are refill fountains). In shaded tree areas, wear a hat. Do not feed wild animals and stay on marked trails. Take amazing photos in the orchid house and from the lookout!
