Donde la selva atlántica le planta cara a la minería - con algún mono travieso de testigo
Vale Botanical Park is open from Tuesday to Sunday and on public holidays, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with last entry at 4:30 p.m.. It is located on Avenida dos Expedicionários, s/n, Jardim Camburi, Vitória – ES. You can get there easily by car, as it offers free parking, or by using city bus lines with nearby stops.
Good news! Admission to Vale Botanical Park is completely free. You can enjoy all the facilities and trails at no cost, making it an excellent option for an affordable leisure day in Vitória.
To explore Vale Botanical Park at a relaxed pace and enjoy its trails and exhibits, we recommend setting aside between 2 and 3 hours. This will allow you to walk through the different ecosystems, visit the orchid house and the nursery, and perhaps take part in an activity if one coincides with your visit.
Vale Botanical Park was created and is maintained by Vale S.A., one of the world’s leading mining companies. Its importance lies in being a center for the conservation of the urban Atlantic Forest, an endangered biome, while also promoting environmental education and scientific research. It is a vital green lung for the city of Vitória.
To enjoy more pleasant temperatures and fewer visitors, we suggest visiting Vale Botanical Park early in the morning, just after opening. As for the time of year, the drier months, such as the Brazilian winter (June to August), can be ideal for outdoor walks.
Yes, Vale Botanical Park offers some accessibility. It has paved paths that make wheelchair access easier across much of the site. However, some more natural trails or those with slight inclines may present challenges. We recommend contacting the park directly for more detailed information: +55 (27) 3333-6200.
Vitória offers several interesting options near Vale Botanical Park. You can visit Camburi Beach, ideal for a walk or a swim. Pedra da Cebola Park is also recommended for its impressive rock formations, or a little farther away, but unmissable, is the Historic Center of Vitória.
To make your visit perfect, wear comfortable clothes and suitable walking shoes. Don’t forget sunscreen and insect repellent, especially if you go in summer. We recommend bringing your own water bottle to stay hydrated. Also, check the park’s official website before you go, in case there are special activities or workshops scheduled for that day.
