The viewpoint is a public space open 24 hours a day, although it is recommended to visit during daylight. You can reach it free of charge by car via a paved road or by the famous cable car that departs from Capivari Park, which generally operates from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Access to the viewpoint and the statue area is completely free if you go up on your own by vehicle or on foot. The only associated cost would be the cable car ticket if you choose that option for the ascent, or parking if you decide to leave your car in nearby private lots.

It is a short but visually striking visit; with about 30 to 45 minutes you will have enough time to walk through the garden, see the statues, and take panoramic photos of the town. It is the perfect addition to an afternoon in Campos do Jordão.

The site gets its name because, seen from a certain distance, the outline of the mountain resembles an elephant's trunk. It is an iconic spot at 1,800 meters above sea level that offers the most classic and famous view of Capivari's tourist center.

Sunset is magical because it lets you see the transition from natural daylight to the city's nighttime illumination below. The autumn and winter months, from May to August, usually offer clearer skies, ideal for photography.

Car access reaches the top and the viewpoint area is paved and reasonably flat, which makes visiting easier. However, access via the traditional cable car is not suitable for wheelchairs, so vehicle transport is recommended.

You are right above the main hub; on the way down you can enjoy Capivari Park with its lake and dining options. You are also just a few minutes away by car from the famous Silver Shower, ideal for completing your sightseeing route.

Always bring a jacket or windbreaker, as the elevation often brings chilly winds even on sunny days. If you are visiting in peak season, try to go up early in the morning or on weekdays to avoid traffic on the access road.
