As a public beach, access is open 24 hours a day, although it is recommended to visit during daylight hours for greater safety. You can get there easily by car, water taxi, or on foot in about 15 minutes from the town center; for the exact route, check this location map.

Access to Praia do Forno is completely free for all visitors. However, if you go by car, you may encounter informal parking attendants who charge a fee to park nearby, and renting umbrellas at the kiosks costs extra.

To truly enjoy its calm waters and reddish sand, we recommend setting aside between 2 and 3 hours, or a full morning. It is the ideal amount of time for snorkeling, relaxing, and then continuing to explore with our Búzios audio guide.

Its name comes from the geological characteristic of its reddish, iron-rich sands, which tend to heat up more than those on other beaches, creating a warm, oven-like sensation. In addition, the cove is protected from the winds, which reinforces that unique feeling of warmth in the region.

Mornings are the ideal time, especially early on, when the tide is usually calmer and the water clearer for seeing fish. If you want to avoid crowds, try to go on weekdays or outside the peak summer season (December-February).

Unfortunately, access can be difficult because it involves a path with some slope and areas of rocks or soft sand that make wheelchair passage harder. Caution is recommended for people with severe mobility difficulties.

You are very close to the famous Forno Viewpoint, where you will get a spectacular panoramic view that is ideal for photos. You can also take the opportunity to walk to nearby Brava Beach or Foca Beach if you are looking for a wilder setting.

Do not forget to bring your snorkeling gear or swim goggles, as it is one of the best spots in Búzios to see sea turtles near the rocks. Also, bring some cash because the card machine signal at the kiosks sometimes fails.
