Parador Canaro offers ski passes separate from Grandvalira at very competitive rates for beginners (around €18 for a half day, although prices vary by season). Booking the ski pass online is not mandatory, but booking ski school lessons in advance is recommended.

If you are learning to ski or traveling with children, it is ideal to plan for half a day (3 to 4 hours). This allows you to enjoy the lessons and then relax on the restaurant terrace without becoming too tired.

This site is legendary because Josep Areny installed the area's first ski lift here in 1968, making it the birthplace of skiing in this valley. It represents the pioneering spirit of snow tourism in Andorra and still maintains that original family management.

For skiing, from January to March you will find the best snow; try to arrive at 9:00 a.m. to enjoy the freshly groomed slopes first. If you visit in summer, the sunsets from the terrace overlooking the Incles Valley are spectacular.
