Sassel is famous primarily for its extraordinary natural beauty, highlighting the imposing Taza Cliff that drops into the sea and the Nymph Grotto. While its main value is geological and scenic, the area is part of the history of the region's natural resilience; the park was officially classified in 2009 to protect its unique coastal and Mediterranean biodiversity in North Africa.

The best time to visit is undoubtedly spring (April to June) or early autumn (September and October), when the climate is mild and the park's vegetation is at its peak, avoiding the intense summer heat and the mass influx of local tourists. It is preferable to go early in the morning or at sunset to enjoy the best light and avoid the strongest sun hours.

Due to the natural configuration of the terrain, with cliffs and direct access to the rocky shoreline, reaching the Nymph Grotto area and the exact shoreline can be difficult for wheelchairs or people with walking difficulties. There are accessible viewpoints from the upper parking lot, but it is recommended to go accompanied to assess the terrain conditions at the time of the visit.

The main adjoining attraction is the imposing Nymph Grotto, located just below the cliff and accessible via a scenic trail. Additionally, you can explore the crystal-clear waters of Taza Cove for snorkelling, or visit the coastal town of Ain Temouchent, a short drive away, where you can check its dining options on the town's website.

Wear comfortable, sturdy footwear for walking on the rocks, as the terrain is uneven. It is essential to bring your own water and sun protection, as services in the cliff area are very limited or non-existent. Strictly respect nature: do not leave litter and avoid disturbing the local fauna, helping to preserve this Algerian natural treasure.
