Lake Ghrib is a natural area with free access all year round. It is recommended to visit during daylight hours (8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.). To get there from Ain Defla, take the RN4 road northwest for 15 km. Check updated routes at Algeria Tourism.

No, access to the lake is completely free as it is a public natural area. Some activities such as boat rides, if available, may have an additional cost. It is recommended to bring cash for local expenses.

Most visitors enjoy the site for 1 to 2 hours. If you plan to have a picnic or walk along the nearby trails, allow half a day. The time may vary depending on your activities.

This artificial reservoir was created in 1934 during the French colonial period for agricultural irrigation. Today it is known as the "Mirror of the Dahra" for its landscapes. It does not have ancient historical significance, but it does hold scenic value.

Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) offer mild temperatures and green or golden landscapes. Summer is extremely hot, reaching up to 40°C. The early morning hours are ideal for avoiding crowds.

The natural terrain has uneven areas. The main shore is partially accessible, but the surrounding paths may be difficult. Contact the Ain Defla tourist office (+213 27 31 55 86) for specific details.

Wear comfortable shoes, and bring sun protection and drinking water. Respect the natural environment by not leaving trash behind. Swimming in the lake is not allowed due to currents. For panoramic photos, go up to the natural viewpoint on the eastern side.
