Butrint National Park is open every day: from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM (April-September) and from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (October-March). It is located 18 km from Sarandë, accessible by car or taxi. Check routes on the official website.
General admission is 1,000 lek (approx. €7.50). Students and children pay half price. It includes access to the museum and the ruins. Check updated prices at butrint.al.
We recommend 2-3 hours to properly explore the museum and the ruins, including the Roman theater, the early Christian basilica, and the Venetian citadel.

Spring (April-June) and autumn (September-October) for mild temperatures. Avoid July-August because of the heat and crowds. Early hours are ideal.
The ground is uneven with dirt paths. It is not recommended for wheelchairs. Comfortable shoes are essential. The museum has level access.
