As it is a natural site, access is free 24 hours a day, but I strongly recommend going during daylight for your safety. Getting there usually requires a short drive from the center of Ballsh followed by a walk; check the route on Google Maps before you leave.

Good news: the visit is completely free, nature does not charge admission here. It is a perfect low-cost plan, just make sure to take care of the environment and leave no litter behind.

Allowing between 60 and 90 minutes will give you enough time to explore, take amazing photos, and enjoy the calm. It is not a full-day excursion, but an ideal stop to enjoy the scenery.

More than human history, this site stands out for its geological value in the Mallakastër region, showing the power of natural erosion. It is a place where the story is told by the rock formations and local biodiversity.

Spring (April-May) is the winning season: the surroundings are greener and the temperature is pleasant. Avoid days of heavy rain because of mud, and the extreme midday heat in August.

To be direct, it is not recommended for wheelchairs or people with mobility difficulties. The terrain is natural, uneven, and rocky, with no walkways or adapted infrastructure.

Since you are there, a visit to the Bylis Archaeological Park is essential. It is very close and offers fascinating ruins together with panoramic views of the valley that will leave you speechless.

Bring sturdy sports shoes with good grip and drinking water, as you will not find shops or services in the canyon itself. If you like understanding what you see, having an audio guide downloaded on your phone is the perfect complement.
